Serendipity--Thorn's Chapter 1: The Room

   Thorn wakes up in a strange room. She swears and checks for her blades. She finds her blades on her. The room She's in looks like a boiler room. Thorn examines the room more closely and looks for an exit. There are tons of pipes, all of which are hot. Steam gets in the way from time to time. The place is pretty hot, hot enough to make you sweat. The room is large, almost a maze of pipes. However, at one point she sees stairs leading up.

   Thorn goes up the stairs. It takes her time to find the path to the stairs, but after what feels like forever, she makes it up. Opening the door, Thorn finds herself in what looks like a high school hallway. Thorn looks around the hallway. Then begin walking down the hall way grumbling swear words.

   The hall is well lit with lots of doors leading to classrooms, she seems to be at the end of one hall. To the left, some ways off there's a girls and boys bathroom. Even further away are a few windows, but there's no lights coming from those windows. When she gets to the windows, she can't see anything at all, no lights, no buildings. Just darkness. The windows look like they could be opened, but they're the kind that open only a little. Mid-way in the hall, there are stairs leading down. At the end of the hallway are also stairs, but to the left is another hall.  

   Thorn starts opening doors. The doors she opens are all classrooms. There are some math rooms, English rooms, a music room and computer rooms. Everything looks pretty average, aside from no one being there, the doors unlocked and the lights on. When she finishes opening all the doors she hear music from the music room. Thorn enters the music room to see where the music is coming from. Inside the music room there is someone with their back turned away from her. The person is wearing a trench coat and hat. Thorn can hear them hum in tune with the music as the person moves their hands as though orchestrating the music. 

   Thorn says to the person "a. Who are you? b. How did you get here so fast and c Why am I here?"

   "Ah muzic, it is the very zing life iz made of." The man says with some kind of accent. He turns around. "I am zee General. And I don't know how you got here or why. I waz  just playing with zee muzic." The music fades away and the General look around as if wondering why it stopped.

   "Playing with the music what does that mean... And where was that music coming from if no one was playing?" 

   "Ah, you scared it. Muzic iz a living zing. I bet if you found a stage we could play with zee muzic again."

   "Still not entirely certain what your talking about, but sure lets go find a stage." 

   "Yez!"the General looks as excited as a kid. "Follow me!" he walks out of the music room. Thorn follows the General scowling. 

   The General leads her down some stairs and down several hallways. And then some more stairs and hallways. It becomes clearer and clearer that he's lost the more Thorn progress. The further she goes, the more it looks less like a school and more like a maximum security prison. Yet the General acts as if nothing has changed. Thorn continues following the General, but is on my guard. She puts one of her hands on one of her blades. 

      The General suddenly stops before turning a corner and looks around. "You know, I think we're lozt."  

   "I second that motion. We appear to have wandered into a prison. Though why a prison is connected to a school is beyond me."

   The General looks around and then suddenly turns around pulling out a tricked out rifle and fires at something behind Thorn.  Behind her was a monstrous looking creature. Now dead. 

   "We muzt leave before otherz find us." 

   "Sounds like a plan." Thorn draws her blades. The General and Thorn begin moving. The prison cells now seem to be holding hideous creatures that howl as they pass.  The General leads Thorn out of the holding part of the jail and into an office. He bars the door with a chair and takes out a marker. On the door he begins scribbling a circle with 7 symbols. 

   "That vill keep zee creatures away."  In the office is a desk, a lamp, what looks like case files, and a coat rack. 

   "Wait, time out, what is going on here? Where is here? What are these things? What can a circle do to stop them?"

   "I think we are in zee realm of Carcer. Those zings I zhot were Umbre. They sneak up and eat people. There were other types of Nefus in zee cells. And ziss circle has zee seven Symbols of Peragro Contego. When zey are placesd in different orders, zey have different effects. Zis one protects us.I can make another for us to travel." The General takes out an army grade walky talky. 

   "Hello! zis iz zee General. Where has zee base moved? Ah. Expect my return."

   "Wait so where are we going now?"

The Situation: Traveling with the General.

   "Ve are going to zee realm of Pario. I have been searching for zee homunculi who is influencing the other realms. It has been causing chaos in those realityz. such as zee one ve are in." The General begins making a large circle on the ground with his marker and then draws the symbols. "Are you ready?" He asks you.
